Police fired tear gas into the stands in Nairobi after officials awarded a controversial goal to Guinea Bissau over Kenya, the Associated Press reports. Kenya could possibly face sanctions after fans threw projectiles—including stones—onto the Guinea Bissau bench after Zimbabwean official Norman Matemela claimed that the ball had fully crossed the line, putting Guinea Bissau up 1-0. The game was far from a friendly, aside from riotous reasons—it was an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, and Kenya's loss on the books put them in a difficult situation for advancing to next year's tournament. The incident took place at the 81st minute, and stopped play for a full 30 minutes. The game closed out with a Guinea Bissau win, and will be under review by officials.
