After criticism of interfering with a referee and "disrespecting" his birth country's Prime Minister, Tongan-born All Black Malakai Fekitoa lashed out, telling critics to "eat toilets" on Facebook.

Fekitoa, who has played 23 tests for the All Blacks since his debut in 2014, organized a rugby tournament in Ha'apai in December, but was accused of "interfering with a referee" in a New Zealand Kaniva Pacific story and a Facebook post by Pacific Island Tourism.

"I would like to remind Malakai Fekitoa that the youth of Tonga look up to you as a Ha'apai male, ALL BLACK [sic]," Pacific Island Tourism wrote.

"However, because of your atrocious behavior towards the people of Tonga, this tournament has become unpopular, so no referee would be involved in refereeing this event.

"We appreciated your love and effort towards sports in our country. You, an ALL BLACK [sic], have lowered yourself and your glory when you verbally abused the referee during the game.

On social media platforms, others accused him of "disrespecting" Tongan PM 'Akilisi Pohiva when he appeared at a cocktail party wearing shorts.

Fekitoa, 24, took the criticism to heart - lashing out in a Facebook post that was later deleted.

"I decided this would be the last for me to run a tournament to help Ha'apai and Tonga," the Otago Highlanders centre wrote. "I'm out!"

After New Zealand Kaniva Pacific reported the rugby centre was withdrawing from holding future tournaments, Fekitoa's blood boiled again. According to Stuff.co.nz, the All Black wrote another Facebook post, totally slamming his critics.

"This is the last of the competition host[ed] in Tonga. It's good so you can all eat toilets," Fekitoa wrote, in Tongan.

Fekitoa's mum Meleane defended her son on Facebook, according to New Zealand Kaniva Pacific.

"His head is not swelled and he is never snobbish," she wrote. "To all Ha'apai pardon us if we had made mistake. Love you heaps. And may you have a happy and blessed New Year from the Fekitoa children's mother."
