Hyped: The Week In Links 7/13

Busy week? Here are some things you may have missed.

This week on the blog we met GayBird, an experimental instrument maker and our new Creator, we discovered a dress that you can control with your mind, we marvelled at the beauty of the LHC, checked out Iris Van Herpen’s newest collection, learned how you can make music with coloured liquid, found out what Reggie Watt’s favourite LCD Soundsystem track is in episode two of our SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS video series, got the inside scoop on indie game development from Kellee Santiago, looked at how space travel may be about to enter the commercial age, and rounded up some great levitation photographers.

· Jurassic five: The vocal tracts of prehistoric beasts are reconstructed by designer Marguerite Humeau, to recreate the noises they may’ve made.

· Very smartphones: Treading the fine line between creepy and clever, our phones may no longer just track us, but also predict where we’re going.

· The P0rtal song “Want You Gone” played by seven hard drives.

· Make music with Ableton using your body and a hacked Kinect.

· Cascade (above) is a nice, trippy video to zone out to for a minute and a half. [via]
