Last night, there was a big art opening at the Ace Hotel in Downtown LA featuring work inspired by director Paul Thomas Anderson's new film, Inherent Vice. Anderson is going to be talking with us about the movie tomorrow on a new episode of VICE Meets, so we thought it would be cool to check out the exhibit and see what kind of art his surf noir film sparked.

Titled "Contemporary Psychedelia," the art show takes cues from Los Angeles psych, Art Nouveau, and the paranoid cultural landscape of Manson-era California—just like the movie itself. It includes work from the Haas Brothers, Steve Harrington, Lil Lakich, Travis Millard, Alia Penner, Dustin Stanton, and John Van Hamersveld.
