Make no mistake: if there's one thing China takes pride in these days, it's the arts. With rigorous training that runs the gamut from classical to contemporary, artists from the country have spent the past few decades producing some of the greatest works the world over—and while much of it is understandably lost in the distance, what does make it across the ponds is unflinchingly sublime. One such hub of creativity in China have announced their finalists for an opening of contemporary photography:After intense deliberation by the selection committee and invited photographer Liu Zheng, 28 finalists have been selected out of the 580 candidates to participate in the sixth Three Shadows Photography Award (TSPA) exhibition. Photography Award Exhibition will be held on April 26th, 2014 at the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre. The final results of the competition will be announced at the opening ceremony, after the international selection committee has made its decisions.
