Travel around the world one building at a time with art book publisher Taschen’s newest installment to their Architecture Now! series. Architecture writer Philip Jodidio takes the reader to over 70 international projects through tabbed sections themed Residential, Commercial and Public, Culture and Religion, Education and Research, and Leisure, “celebrat[ing] contemporary architecture in its innovation, eclecticism, and adaptation to our evolving world." Its 496-pages (!) cover classics from Frank O. Gehry’s Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, to up-and-comers like Japan’s Sou Fujimoto. Jodidio himself has written the monographs for noted architects like Tadao Ando, Norman Foster, Renzo Piano, Jean Nouvel, and Zaha Hadid, making him a welcomed tour guide in the journey that is Architecture Now!
This installment stays fresh in its tenth edition by following the newest projects of acclaimed architects and making room for the emerging ones. All projects featured touch on the social, political, cultural, and geographical considerations of each respective architect. Architecture Now! keeps us looking forward to the structures of tomorrow.
