Vintage Crop’s New Song Is Basically An Episode of 'Catfish' Set to Music

The Geelong rockers have written an ode to the online dating show.

The concept and idea behind MTV's Catfish is pretty straightforward. Follow and film people who meet online. People like Ja'mari and Rico. Ja'mari, it turns out, is really James and isn't a model but some guy who spent two years in prison for allegedly stealing buses, impersonating the driver, and driving them on their routes. It makes for great television.

Geelong rockers Vintage Group, have written a song that is an ode to this brilliant television series. As the band's Jack Cherry explains,"the song pretty much follows the typical storyline of an episode. I kind of spent way too much time watching the show instead of writing lyrics and in the end it became the lyrics anyway."

Taken from the four-piece's forthcoming album TV Organ, the track fires on all cylinders like an early 90s model Commodore with UV Race blaring from shit box speakers

Take a listen below.

'TV Organ' is available April 14 on Weather Vane records.
