As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches daily. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

Our next president is a reality TV star, effectively turning American democracy into a bizarre catastrophilic spectacle, but let me implore you to take a deep breath and participate in America’s other greatest pasttime: impulse consumption! For less than the price of a case of canned beans for your fallout shelter, you can buy one of these lovely pins to brighten up your garments. Hooray! Scroll to the end of the article for a special discount code to Strike Gently Co, my saintly, socially-conscious soft goods store.

Superbad had a bigger impact on me than The Godfather. It’s simply just the greatest movie ever made about being a teenager. God bless Judd Apatow, God bless Seth Rogen. Now you can wear McLovin on your lapel and remind people how much better it is to be young.

Old Boy is another great film that most people don’t see until they’re in college or older, because you really only see it after hearing some cool guy talking about it at a party trying to flex his alt-culture muscles. Regardless, wear this and no one will fuck with you. I guarantee it.

Every time I showcase a Simpsons pin, I say, “This is going to be the last Simpsons pin I showcase.” This is going to be the last Simpsons pin I showcase—I swear it. There are too many in the world, but this one was too good to let up. Please promise you’ll hold me to that, alll five of you who read this column.

Everyone makes mistakes. Some are excuseable. Others are not. Riding a longboard is bad enough. It’s easy and because white guys with dreadlocks do it, kind of a recipe for failure. They turn their Beats headphones up too loud and can’t hear the sounds of the car horns over their John Butler Trio albums. Then they get squashed by moving vans and the world keeps turning. Electric longboards are even worse, like having a latte delivered to you via Seamless.

I’ve never included one of my own products in here, but I’m going to do that once because A.) It’s a great pin and B.) all bets are off. I didn’t think these would come out that great, but the detail is fantastic and they sold out once already. I restocked them, so if you want one before they sell out again go get it. /self promotion
