Rabit Announces a Dense New Album of Modular Synth, Folk and Drone

Houston-based experimental producer Erik Burton, aka Rabit, has announced his second album Les Fleurs Du Mal. To be released on his own Halcyon Veil label on November 3, the album's title refers to a volume of Charles Baudelaire's poetry on decadence and eroticism.

A follow up to his His Tri Angle Records' full-length, Communion, the album's 12 tracks are densely detailed and feature elements of modular synth folk, and drone. Halycon Veil says that the album can be understood "as a statement triangulating itself with Elysia Crampton's Demon City and Chino Amobi's Paradiso," both of which featured Rabit.

Check the Lane Stewart directed video for first single "Bleached World," was shot in Houston after Hurricane Harvey and features Burton wandering on abandoned highways and empty beaches.
