Listen to a Track From Defeater’s Upcoming Concept Album ‘Abandoned’

This is the best record about a lapsed Catholic priest we have ever heard.

Boston hardcore heroes Defeater have flicked us across "Remorse", a new track from Abandoned their fourth concept album set for release August 28 on their new label home Epitaph.

Abandoned chronicles the story of a lapsed Catholic priest, whose battles in Europe during the war drag him first toward faith and then his own poisonous faithlessness. Needless to say this is not your typical bro unity/scene politics hardcore album.

The album was written and recorded after singer Derek Archambault received life-changing surgery that repaired severe hip damage he suffered in an injury.

‘Abandoned’ is available August 28 through Epitaph.
