Fiancé's Hazy "Era" Will Make You Feel Like You Should've Skipped Work and Gone to the Beach

The track comes from the Delaware four-piece's upcoming 'EP1.'

I went to Delaware once. It was on an eighth grade field trip to New York City and Washington DC. On one of the traveling days, we stayed in a hotel that was near the ocean, a joint that had a surf shack down the block where I went to buy a seashell necklace as a souvenir. After we were settled, my friends and I went to the beach with some of the girls—one of whom was my crush, whose name we’ll say was Alison. The sky was cloudy, the kind of day you regret making a beach day, but we didn’t care because we were 14 and back home in Iowa the oceans were made of corn. We played catch with a football. We tackled each other in the water. We chased some giant birds. Later that night, in the hotel, I told Alison I had a crush on her and she said she didn’t feel the same way. I never wore the seashell necklace again.
