Teleport to an Underwater Club Courtesy of "Snare" by Cosmo's Midnight

OK so dancing underwater is dangerous and impractical but that's just what this Aussie duo's new tune makes us feel like doing.

Cosmo's Midnight are two brothers from Australia who've made their name creating glitchy, electro remixes of hits by AlunaGeorge and Destiny's Child. In fact they're best known for winning the official remix competition for Flume’s 2012 album Sleepless, and have been producing straight up gold ever since. The original songs they create under their own name contain many of the hallmarks of their remixes: the skittering beats, the airy, cut and paste vocals, and general R&B vibes.

Personally, I tend to gravitate toward music with guitars—which is why I was really #confused when I heard "Snare," premiering above, and felt compelled to play it on repeat for an entire day straight. Featuring the laidback vocals of Wild Eyed Boy, a pal over at Thump described the duo's new jam as "nu-disco," which I am personally defining as "music that'd be played out in an underwater club where I can dance around wearing silver lamé surrounded by mermen and not drown." And that is a very, very good thing.
