Police in Florida have arrested a 43-year-old man who they say was plotting to kidnap Lana Del Rey. Michael Hunt was arrested on Friday near Orlando's Amway Center, where the singer—born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant—was scheduled to perform. Police say that they found a knife and tickets to the concert in Hunt's possession at the time of his arrest.

In a statement on Twitter, Orlando Police said that they received a tip that Hunt was threatening to kidnap Grant. "OPD Detectives considered the information a credible threat, and took investigative measures to locate Hunt," the statement read. They added that, without the tip from a member of the public, they may have been "unaware of the threat Hunt posed."

"At no point was he able to make contact with Ms Grant," the statement continued.

Hunt is being held at the Orange County jail. He faces charges of Stalking with a Credible Threat and Attempted Kidnapping with a Weapon.
