The Real MVP Met The Based God, And Things Got Adorable

Let there be lit.

Rapper Lil B has been lording over the fates of NBA players since time forgotten. As the Based God, he has cursed, un-cursed, and thought about cursing hella people. The most famous example is certainly James Harden, but a certain Kevin Durant was once subject to Lil B's witchery.

That is, until Durant moved to Lil B's hometown Golden State Warriors. (Though technically Lil B's from Berkeley, he gets honorary Oakland citizenship). Poof—the curse was lifted.

Well, in the buildup to Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the chowderheads at First Take decided to upstage themselves by having His Holiness come on air with them at Oakland's Lake Chalet (where I actually used to work) and guess who else was in the building? Wanda Durant, aka the Real MVP.

Thankfully Lil B had lifted that curse because it's pretty hard to stare someone's mom in the face and tell them that you cursed their child. But all beef was put aside, and their meeting was just the cutest damn thing you've ever seen.

Wanda is the best—just look at that smile.

To prove her GOATness even further, she made her own appearance on First Take and clapped back at Stephen A. Smith, who has famously dragged Kevin for leaving OKC. She first started out by saying her prayers are with Smith, whose mother recently passed, and then said,"Now, with that being said…" to a general 'oh shit' kind of chatter in the room. She then continued with, "Who are you Stephen A. to come at my boy like that? I think about when he came to ESPN, was that a weak move for him? He joined some more heavy hitters to up his career, right?"

Point. Counterpoint.

Better watch out, Stephen A.—with the Based God on Wanda's side, you might just step yourself into a big old pile of curse.
