Minnesota Shares a Tour-Influenced ON DECK Mix as Well as Photos of Degenerate Raccoon Kendrick

You simply can't have a discussion about the West Coast bass movement without uttering the words Christian Bauhofer, AKA Minnesota. While his name points to his humble midwestern upbringings, Bauhofer quicky changed zip codes and scenes when starting up his DJ career, eventually finding himself in the cultural hub of Berkeley, California. From there, he eventually garnered a hefty following—all of whom long to be plunged into his wormhole of melodic bass music.

Through a number of successful EPs and original tracks like "Stardust," Bauhofer's nearly cornered the market on productions that pack a larger than life brand of bass, but also manage to flow delicately through your body with airy, gentle undertones, all of which compliment each other like PB&J on two slabs of fresh rye bread.

While as a musician, Bauhofer always has his eyes on conquering the melodic bass world, as a guy, it appears he knows how to have a ridiculous and seriously fun time. Recently, on his Mind Machine North American tour, he not only hit the road with a near-lethal arsenal of subs, DJ gear, and of course, a whole 'lot of oozy bass cuts, but also, a furry friend by the name of Kendrick.

Kendrick, if you are wondering, is a raccoon. But not just any type of raccoon. Instead of doing normal raccoon things like eating leftover General Tso's chicken from your backyard garbage bin—Kenny likes to turn the fuck up. Also, he's taxidermied. While everyone knows "what happens on the road stay on the road," as music journalists, the rules don't quite apply to us. So, through continual measures of careful investigative work, and quite possibly the threat of a DEA subpoena, Minnesota's crew has allowed us to share some evidence of Kendrick's travels with them throughout the entire tour.
