U.S. Women Dominate to Win Team Gold in Gymnastics

The U.S. women won gymnastics gold again, and it wasn't even close.

The United States women gymnastics team just repeated as Olympic gold medalists but since the IOC and NBC are being dicks about rights to the broadcast, you're shit out of luck if you weren't watching in real time. You'll just have to wait until prime time when Al Trautwig and co. wax poetic about an outcome you already know.

Simone Biles crushed another floor routine—you'll just have to trust us on this—and won her first Olympic gold medal. Since we can't even embed her routine from trials, feel free to watch the routine above from the P&G Championships in June. It's basically the same. She also nailed an Amanar vault that earned a 15.933 score, which sort of looked like the one below from last year's P&G Championship. Feel the excitement and patriotism!

The women followed up their gold medal in London with a dominating performance, beating the Russian team by nearly 10 points in a sport where the margin of victory is usually decimal points.

This is the last Olympics Márta Károlyi will coach the team in—she took over for husband Béla Károlyi in 2001—and there's not much of a better way to go out.
