A blimp flying over the U.S. Open at Erin Hills in Wisconsin crashed into the woods near the course and appeared to be smoking as it went down. Accounts from the course indicate that at least one person parachuted out before the crash, but it's unclear if there were any other people inside.

In this video filmed by Madison Seigworth, you can hear people say "they just parachuted out."

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel spoke to one witness, Bryan Rosine who said "They were trying to give it some throttle and it didn't go up." Rosine continued, "Then there was a bunch of kabooms and smoke clouds."

According to Golf.com, police officers on the scene said the front of the blimp deflated before catching fire and one person was reportedly injured.
