Watch this Rad Owl Theremin in Action

At last, they have found a way to safely channel man's natural impulse to play the owl as a musical instrument by incorporating an artificial and totally non-violent owl into a theremin.

When you think about it, owls are basically musical instruments. If we assume that a "musical instrument" means "anything you can do some stuff to and have it make noise," then heck yeah, owls are instruments. On the other hand, owls are totally alive and doing stuff to one seems excessively inadvisable because (obvious animal rights issues aside) owls seem like they might get really mad if you messed with them and peck your face out. Fortunately some genius found a way to safely channel man's natural impulse to play the owl as a musical instrument by incorporating an artificial and totally non-violent owl into a theremin. At this point, it's really a race to see who's jumps on this first, Drake with his owl obsession or, desperate for a new schtick, Weird Al Yankovic changes his name to Weird Owl Yankovic and bases his act entirely around this little doohickey.
