This Indian Artist Just Remixed Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" to Make It About Corporate Responsibility

Sofia Ashraf wasn't satisfied with Unliever ducking the issue around her protest, so she made a remix called "Kodaikanal Won't"

Chennai is a city on the Southeast coast of India on the Bay of Bengal. It's also the hometown of Sofia Ashraf, a young rapper who has taken to remixing Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" to turn it into an activist anthem. Titled "Kodaikanal Won't'" the song addresses the protests held by the citizens of Chennai by ex-workers at a defunct thermometer factory in Kodaikanal previously run by Hindustan Unilever. According to local news, the resultant death toll stands at 45 workers of the now-defunct Unilever factory, and that's not counting the 12 of their children who died as a result of exposure.
