On Saturday in Toronto, thousands of people crowded into the streets to protest President Donald Trump's travel restrictions on Muslim people entering the United States. Protesters locked arms, chanted, and held words of resistance high.Poets, Holocaust survivors, Iranians, Somalis, Muslims and Muslimahs, black men and women all came together to speak their truth against white supremacy and Islamophobia. Heads bowed and tears flowed as one speaker read the names of the Quebec City mosque shooting victims over a microphone, sending a chill through the streets.
