Harry Styles is a man who says very little, that much we know (it is, as your nan says, always the quiet ones, after all.) Of all his former One Direction bandmates, Styles is arguably the most private – he doesn't share much about his personal life, in particular, and he's so infrequent on social media that fans descend upon and dissect every tweet or Instagram update.So you might consider it interesting that a new sitcom, Happy Together, due to air this autumn on US network CBS is based on a period of Styles' life (you can see a very peppy sampler above.) The show is inspired by a time when Styles – while filming an episode of *extremely witch voice* that curséd thing Carpool Karaoke – moved in with TV producer Ben Winston and his wife. It will follow the capers of a teen popstar called (what else?) Cooper James, who moves in with his accountant and his girlfriend (played by Damon Wayans Jr., and Amber Stevens West). CBS's website describes Happy Together thus:
Winston will serve as executive producer on the show, and he'll be joined in the role by Styles himself. To be honest it all sounds extremely wholesome – it's as good a premise as any for a network comedy – though it can also be seen as a fascinating diversion tactic by Styles. His fans (and the general public, such is the level of fame he has attained) are desperate to know him better, and every shred of information he provides causes huge excitement. In backing a show with a character based on him, Styles in some ways is sharing more of himself without having to actually do anything at all. It'll be intriguing to see which parts of his personality make the cut, and I for one am looking forward to the many, many fan Twitter threads which will inevitably attempt to deduce which of the storylines have their roots in Styles' real life.Follow Noisey on Twitter.Once he moves in, Cooper, played by Felix Mallard, helps Jake and Claire reconnect with their younger, cooler selves, which leads everyone to believe this unconventional living arrangement might just be the best thing to happen to all three of them.
