Brooklyn-based producer and Discwoman co-founder UMFANG today shared a new single, "Where is She," which is the latest cut from her forthcoming album Symbolic Use of Light. A sole, minimal loop at first, it scurries forth and is joined along the way by elements just as ice-slicing claps, crisp hi-hats, and hints of acid. Stream it below.

Speaking to The FADER, UMFANG shared that the track was just "a simple loop" made all on a DR-202 drum machine. "The title refers to the feeling of being in a club and losing your friends for 15 minutes or maybe the whole night," she said. "I like that you can hide at the club and have your own experience if you want while still being among other humans."

"Where is She" is the second single taken from Symbolic Use of Light, following "Weight." The album is also Umfang's second, following 2015's OK. It's out on Friday, June 16 via Ninja Tune's Technicolour sub-label. Pre-order it here.
