Yesterday, at the French Football Federation's headquarters, French authorities seized documents related to the ongoing Swiss criminal investigation into Sepp Blatter's shady dealings as FIFA President.

Dick Pound, the former president of WADA, has labeled Maria Sharapova "reckless beyond description" for taking banned substances.

Wolfsburg defeated Gent in the Champions League. The win puts the Wolves through to the quarterfinals for the first time ever. Real Madrid also won, defeating Roma 2-0 (4-0 on aggregate). Sergio Ramos even got a prize.

Tonight in the Champions League, Zenit plays Benfica, who has a 1-0 aggregate lead. Chelsea also hosts PSG. The Parisians enter the tie with a 2-1 aggregate league, but nevertheless took to social media to talk shit before the match.

UEFA put together a short little documentary on the Champions League anthem that's worth checking out.

Yesterday, a Google computer defeated Lee Sedol, the best Go player in the world, in the first of 5 matches. Go, for the uninitiated, is a 2-v-2 board game in which players compete for territory on a 19-by-19 grid by placing stones, one-by-one. The rules are simple, but the game is exceedingly complicated. Just a few years ago, the consensus was that machines wouldn't be able to beat top humans for another couple decades. That Google's machine beat Sedol is an amazing technological feat. Here is a video of the match:
