A couple of former NHL prospects broke the mold from the standard boring, cliche-ridden hockey intermission interview on Sunday.Instead of trading always-inspiring, groundbreaking quotes such as "we need to take it one shift at a time," and "we're not getting into the dirty areas," or "gotta keep our feet moving," two players in Austria's Erste Bank Eishockey Liga decided to mix things up and swap some fisticuffs.Tom Zanoski of Medvescak Zagreb was getting ready to deliver an intermission interview with Servus TV, before he and Chris DeSousa of HC Bolzano started exchanging some stickwork in an encounter that developed into a full-blown tilt with some teammates, along with TV and media crews, looking on.Note the professionalism on this reporter, who tries to grab Zanoski by the shoulder and start his scheduled interview as the brawl escalated, before getting struck by an errant butt-end and promptly bailing out of there as quickly as possible.DeSousa, who used to play in the Carolina Hurricanes' system, and former Blackhawks prospect Zanoski threw several bombs at each other before being separated by players, referees, and arena security. Both received fighting majors and were ejected at 20:00 of the second period, with several other players receiving roughing minors.As the old cliche goes, "If you can't beat 'em in the alley, you can't beat 'em on the ice."
