Lane Kiffin Left Behind by Alabama Buses Once More for Old Times' Sake

It's the second time in as many years the Alabama buses have left kiffin high and dry.

Lane Kiffin is going to be the head coach of Florida Atlantic next season, but he's still calling the shots for the Alabama offense as they ready for a run at the National Championship, starting this weekend against Washington in the Peach Bowl. Crimson Tide bus drivers may have forgotten, though, because as Kiffin was finishing up with reporters during Alabama's media day session, the Bama buses headed back to the team hotel without him.

You'd be forgiven for assuming Nick Saban was salty with Kiffin for ditching his offense, because this is now the second time Kiffin has been left behind by the team buses in as many years.

"'Yep, got left again,' cracked Kiffin."

Still beats getting fired on a tarmac, though.

Maybe Saban wasn't salty about his impending departure, but rather for Kiffin not being grateful for everything he's provided.

Alabama OC Lane Kiffin asked if his 3 years at Bama had been fun: "Fun? Yeah. We don't use that word a lot"

Or maybe he's just superstitious. The first time Kiffin got ditched by the buses was after he helped Alabama outpace Clemson in a 45-40 win in the National Championship game.
