Five Electronic Events in Toronto You Don’t Want To Miss

Summer is officially over and if you don't believe me, just open up your windows and feel the chill breeze (or if you're in Calgary, the snow). The changing of the leaves signals the end of festival season as we know it, but that doesn't mean you have to shut yourself into your hobbit hole for the next eight months. Don't throw out your neon coloured spandex or rave glasses yet either, because there is a whole slew of big events coming to Toronto in the next few months, and we're happy as pigs in shit to tell you about them.

5. Mark Schulz Open to Close Marathon Set
Who: Markus Schulz
When: Saturday, September 20th
Where: The Guvernment
Why: Ummm, are you serious? America's Best DJ will be making his final appearance at The Guv before it closes in early 2015, and the unicorn killing, trance icon will be performing for nine hours straight! This event shouldn't even be a question. Make sure you do lots of stretches and drink a box of energy drinks for this one.

4. Safe In Sound Festival
Who: Destroid, Flux Pavilion, UZ, and more.
When: Friday, September 26th
Where: Kool Haus
Why: If you're a bass fan and you're NOT going to the Safe In Sound Festival, then something must be wrong with your head and ears. Not only is it going to feature the combined forces of Excision, Downlink, and KJ Sawka united together as Destroid, a full-on live bass music band, the festival will also include the unimitable Flux Pavilion and the mysterious (and highly skilled) UZ. Get rekt.

3. The Worlds North American Tour
Who: Porter Robinson, Giraffage, and Lemaitre.
When: Friday, October 3rd
Where: Kool Haus
Why: Porter Robinson's highly anticipated Worlds album dropped in August and it was nothing short of spectacular. Dreamy, euphoric, and altogether too beautiful for words, the album was an ebullient breath of fresh air into the dance music scene. Porter has promised that the tour will include a series of personal, intimate moments, and the two openers, Giraffage and Lemaitre, are no slouches either.

2. Monster Mash
Who: Jamie Jones, Nicole Moudaber, Blasterjaxx, Deniz Koyu, Moguai, Adrian Lux, and more.
When: Friday, October 31st
Where: Liberty Grand
Why: Toronto's largest Halloween party is taking place at Liberty Grand, a 100,000-square-foot complex featuring three grand ballrooms. Each room will feature its own very distinct sound and some of the very biggest artists in the game. Where else will you be able to dress up like a monster and throw it down beneath 27-foot ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and iron-laced balconies?

1. Bud Light Sensation: Into The Wild
Who: Artists to be announced.
When: Saturday, November 29th
Where: Rogers Centre
Why: 30,000+ dance fans all decked in white, throwing it down in the Rogers Centre to the sounds of the world's hottest DJs and the best visuals ID&T can bring. While the official lineup hasn't been announced yet, this is one event that's bigger than the headlining act themselves. Sensation is an incredible cross between Cirque du Soleil, the Olympics opening ceremony, and the biggest rave you've ever seen. It is a visual and auditory feast; a literal sensation. If you're looking for the event you can't-miss, this is it.
