Welcome to the Looking Glass Issue, a not-so-subtle nod to the trippy photo (shot by Michael Northrup) gracing this month's cover. If you're not familiar with Northup's work, we suggest you start googling immediately. He's a photographer's photographer, with an extensive archive few have seen. We first published him in our 2012 Photo Issue, with a series titled "Family First," which was, predictably, shots of his friends and family. In this issue, we get another glimpse through his archives in the series "Flash First," made up of a selection of funny, chaotic moments and more subdued black-and-white still lifes.
