Meek Mill performed at the BET Awards tonight, debuting a powerful new song called "Stay Woke" featuring vocals from Miguel. Clad in a hoodie bearing images of XXXTentacion and Jimmy Wopo, both of whom were shot and killed last week, Mill performed the song on a set of a street corner. Halfway through the performance, police appear and fire their guns. The performance ends with Mill standing in front of a line of black men in prison jumpsuits, rattling cell bars. Watch the entire performance above.
"Stay Woke" is Mill's first new music since his release from prison earlier this year. Since then, he's spent a lot of time focussing on creating awareness around prison reform and mass incarceration. Mill's first performance since his release was last month at Rolling Loud.
