Vanic's New Remix Will Wake You Up

Even if it's about sleep.

Last week, we were teased. Today, we're rewarded. Vancouver DJ/producer Vanic has finally released his "Can't Sleep" remix to the masses.Reworking the gifted American rapper K.Flay, Vanic keeps the mesmeric flow of the original vocals while invigorating the tempo with more sonic placeholders. Tethering with the bassline, Vanic's moody remix dips through K.Flay's raw lyrics, creating an overall impressionable addition to the his ever-rising electro stock.

Concentrate on the transitions at the 1:20 and 2:40 marks, he produces a light glitch progression without losing the track's urban touch. Vanic closes off the number with a gliding outro, tightly kept and smooth to the finish—it's no surprise this man's grabbing the attention of industry and label folk with his edit chops.

When we first heard "Circles" back in the early stages of summer, it was hard not to take notice of Vanic's tuneful production style. So much so, that we tracked down the west coaster to learn more about him and his brand earlier this year.

Vanic has been garnering attention throughout the electrosphere, and his freshly spun craft is refreshing, emotive and addictive. Heck, some fans have even pegged a hashtag for the lad, called #manicforvanic.

We too, are manic for Vanic. Listen to his track "Can't Sleep" above.
