Tricky Man Daniel Murphy Fakes Out Yoenis Céspedes with All Kinds of Chicanery

Washington Nationals infielder Daniel Murphy with the high-fallutin dupery against the Mets.

Daniel Murphy, you sly dog you. In last night's game between the Washington Nationals and the New York Mets, Murphy pulled a real ding hummer on baserunner Yoenis Céspedes. Murphy, at second base, pretended that he caught the ball, wound up, and left Céspedes scrambling to make it back to first. Meanwhile, the ball was still traveling well over Murphy's head into a position that would have easily secured Céspedes at third. It all worked out so deviously well.

Just take a look at Murphy's face:

That's the kind of smile that would later win the game, 9-2. Tricky, ding-humming doggy.
