Bass music heavyweight RL Grime and R&B singer Miguel have teamed up on a new track, "Stay for It," out tomorrow, June 2. As with RL's previous single "Reims"—his first original in three years—"Stay for It" sees the producer continue to explore a more cinematic side, this time playing with somber piano chords that steadily build with Miguel's belting choruses into an eruption of stadium-filling synths.

In a preview video (below), RL describes the team-up as "the perfect marriage of both our sounds," and also shared on Soundcloud, "had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite artists ever, Miguel. we were both raised in LA, and draw on a lot of the same feelings…as different as our music is. this song began on the back of a tour bus in 2015, and has taken on many lives over the last 2 years.. but as i've learned, patience has a magical effect … so thrilled to finally share this."

The collaboration comes on the heels of RL Grime's newly announced project, Nova, and its accompanying zine. The project, he said, will "define and encompass every part of the RL Grime project over the coming years… More than just an album, or a show, or a single narrative, I want the Nova project to create spaces where you can feel part of the process and support platforms for your own ideas, while allowing me to share mine too."
