Admit it. Sometimes dance music takes itself just that little bit too seriously. Every now and then, it's nice to be reminded that when it all boils down to the basics, music should be no-holds barred fun. It's something Crookers always seem to manage to convey in their music: ever since their huge crossover hit 'Day 'n' Night', which reached No.2 in the UK charts and clocked up over 94 million plays on YouTube, they bounded around the world playing at parties, and generally having a grand old time. That was until 2012, which saw the end of Crookers as a duo. Bot left to pursue his own projects, but Francesco "Phra" Barbaglia has kept Crookers going as a solo act, and THUMP are pleased to bring you the exclusive premiere of his latest offering 'Heavy'. Do yourself a favour and listen to it on some proper speakers or headphones because, as the name suggests, it's got some seriously weighty low-end frequencies. 'Heavy' is also the first track from Crookers ahead of a planned album release this summer.Crookers will soon embark on a mini European tour, with an exclusive show at London's Pacha on 8th February.31st January: Bullshit Bulle, Switzerland7th February: The Arches Glasgow, Scotland8th February: Pacha London, England22nd February: Kulturfabrik Kofmehl Solothurn, Switzerland28 February: LA 3 Club Valencia, Spain1st March: Rockers El Hall Alicante, Spain
