Everything about the New York Yankees feels new and exciting these days. A host of young sluggers have taken the league by storm, led by phenom catcher Gary Sanchez. Naturally, these dudes need a fresh post-dinger dugout celebration.

Leave it to shortstop Didi Gregorius, suddenly a veteran Yankee at the ripe old age of 26, to come up with a hot new home run celebration utilizing teamwork and props—the prop in this case being tiny utility infielder Ronald Torreyes. At the end of this clip—a second homer from Starlin Castro, which came two batters after Sanchez himself had socked his second dinger of the game—you can see Didi lifting Torreyes up to high-five the triumphant slugger:

The celebration dates back a few games to the arrival of gargantuan right fielder Aaron Judge. The 6'7" Judge jacked a tremendous blast to dead center in the first at bat of his career, and Gregorius assisted Torreyes—listed at 5'10" but probably a few inches shorter—in reaching up to his new teammate.

The Yankees didn't take home the win Monday night, but you can't blame their youngsters. Sanchez became the first player in team history to hit eight home runs in the first 19 game of career. He surpassed 50 total bases more quickly than any Yankees rookie since some fisherman's kid by the name of Joe DiMaggio.

New York had better be careful; if they keep hitting at this race, Gregorius is liable to throw out his back celebrating.
