Eden Hazard Finally Scores After 700-Minute Drought for Belgium, and It's a Beauty

Always nice to get that monkey off your back.

You could watch about eight feature-length movies in the amount of time that it has been since Belgian captain Eden Hazard last scored for his side. It also would be about the same number of games, too. Sure, he's not a striker, per se, but his attacking midfield role demands a bit more than what he's been producing lately. Tonight, however, was the end of his drought—and what a way to do it.

Hazard, who plays for Chelsea, took command of a blistering Belgian counterattack after being played the ball after a series of beautiful passes. Instead of finding the next pass, Hazard wove his way into a space between nearly six defenders, and rocketed the ball off of his right foot for the third goal on Belgium's night. They would later advance to the quarterfinals at 4-0. Granted, it was against a fairly weak Hungary, but it's always nice to get that monkey off your back.
