Thank you, FA Cup. You are doing wonders today.

The FA Cup gets a load of shit from Americans for being boring. Which is weird, because it's the most like our playoffs-based sports. But nevertheless, as if English 'Football' needed to send us a reminder that things can be exciting, this semifinal between the EPL's top two teams Spurs and Chelsea has been a thrilling fucking one. And nothing is exhibiting that more so than this immaculate combination between Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli.

There's been a solid back-and-forth that saw Chelsea with an early fifth-minute lead from Willian, off of a glorious free kick:

WILLIAN! A magnificent free kick from the Brazilian gives Chelsea the early lead vs Tottenham. What a start! #FACuphttps://t.co/HIheUsCSHo

That was then snatched back by a Harry Kane header, and then brought back to the current table-toppers with another Willian goal—a PK awarded after some sloppy play by Son Heung-min. Anyway, all of that mayhem somehow led us to this beautiful combination of Eriksen and Alli. A gorgeously-lofted ball that made Alli find another gear completely to caress the ball gently into the back of the net on a tight little volley. Thank you, FA Cup. You are doing wonders today.

UPDATE:

Good goddamn.

You cannot strike a ball any better than Nemanja Matic just did. #FACup #CHETOT https://t.co/rUgILaVBy6
