After successfully negotiating the reinstatement of its license, fabric announced today that the UK's most famous nightclub will reopen on January 6. Announcing the news on their website, the venue's management said the opening weekend will be a "cherished moment in our history."

The club has been closed since September when local authorities revoked its license because two people died after taking drugs at the London club. A campaign to save the beloved venue was launched almost immediately, garnering support from the international dance music community. London's mayor Sadiq Khan joined the calls to find a way to reopen the venue, and harm reduction experts also spoke out in support of the venue.

The details of the opening weekend remain sparse, with fabric saying the proceedings will have "family very much at its core." What we do know is that Friday will be a FABRICLIVE night, residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis will play on Saturday, and Sunday will host the WetYourSelf! party. The club wrote: "Expect the line ups to be populated with a host of unannounced special guests from our history and our future."
