Misty Faith Potts is a 38-year-old Nakoda woman who disappeared in March 2015. She has an masters degree in environmental science and taught at Yellowhead College, but took a downward spiral into drugs after her brother died and her marriage unravelled. She was last seen at a store at Alexis Nakota Sioux First Nation an hour outside Edmonton and may have been on her way to the city.

VICE travels to Alberta to meet with Misty's family members who have been combing through the worst drug corners in Edmonton and the fields and forests around Alexis and Paul First Nations hoping to find clues leading to Misty's whereabouts. The family hasn't heard much from police and has taken the search for Misty into their own hands. Misty is one of the more than 1,200 missing or murdered Indigenous women across Canada.
