Cardi B Brought Out, Well, Everyone For Her Coachella Set

Even before the release and massive success of her major label debut Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B had become contemporary rap royalty. Though, if you were in any doubt, I'd like to turn your attention to her Coachella set this weekend. She commanded the stage, and also welcomed every featured artist on her album (bar SZA) as an onstage guest.

Kehlani joined her for the smooth, soft, and gentle "Ring," while she changed the mood up with features from YG, 21 Savage, and G-Eazy with whom she performed "Bartier Cardi," "She Bad," and "No Limit" respectively. "She Bad" probably yielded the set's (and possibly the world's) best moment, when a very pregnant Cardi, resplendent in TLC-inspired all white everything, twerked along to the beat in a moment that can only be described as "transcendent" – like, to the extent that my alternate headline for this piece was "It Happened To Me: Cardi B Twerking While Pregnant Changed My Life." See that below:

Probably the biggest name Cardi brought out for her set was Chance the Rapper, who joined her for the sunny, optimistic Invasion of Privacy cut "Best Life." It was awesome, and especially cool to see them having so much fun onstage:

A complete triumph, you'll agree.
