Someone Decapitated and Ripped the Wings Off 14 Geese In Toronto

Toronto Police are looking for someone who decapitated and ripped the wings and feet off of 14 geese.

The 14 geese were found in an industrial park in Humberlea, a northern Toronto neighbourhood, early Monday morning. A Toronto Police spokesperson to CBC Toronto that it was certainly a person who mutilated the geese.

"This definitely was not another animal attacking these geese," Const. Jennifer Sidhu told CBC Toronto.

"It appears that an individual decapitated and tore the wings and the legs off these geese, and actually even snapped some of their necks," she said.

According to City News, all of the geese suffered the same injuries. Some were decapitated, some having wings ripped off and others their necks were broken—all were left in a grisly pile.

The Canadian Wildlife Enforcement Directorate are partnering with TPS on investigating the dead birds. City News also reported that one goose survived the attack and is being treated by the Toronto Wildlife Centre for a busted up ribs and a punctured lung.
