For the Better: Sarah Fournier

Meet the young boxer who’s anything but violent.

It's often difficult to imagine boxers being soft or caring—or humble. But Sarah Fournier is a 22-year-old boxer who, when she’s not in the ring punching people, takes care of those with mental disabilities and teaches sports to young kids. We met up with her as she was returning to training after a two-month convalescence due to a severe concussion—not from a K.O., but from hitting a deer with her car—to talk about how she integrates fighting with her less aggressive work helping others.
