USMNT Wunderkind Christian Pulisic Fan Boys Out with Messi During Drug Test

You could almost argue Messi's playing another sport, of which Pulisic is a fan.

After Argentina administered an expected 4-0 drubbing of the U.S. Men's National Team on Tuesday, U.S. manager Jurgen Klinsmann accused his team of being "too nice" to their opponents, claiming, "we had too much respect." Well, after yesterday's run-in between exciting young USMNT prospect Christian Pulisic and inarguably greatest-player-in-the-world Lionel Messi—and selfie Snapchat session—it'd be hard to argue with him.

Players are randomly drug tested in tournaments, and Messi and Pulisic happened to be called in at the same time. While Messi obviously is Messi—there's no real comparison—Pulisic does have some clout as the youngest player to score for the USMNT and the youngest player to score two goals in the Bundesliga for his more-than-respectable side Borussia Dortmund. But Pulisic decided to post a Snapchat that says, "pretty cool playing against him." Sounds like a little more than respect, there. Makes you wonder if Messi knew who he was.

Pulisic is 17 after all, so you can't really blame the guy. Though you certainly wouldn't see, say, veteran Michael Bradley doing the same thing. But I dunno, maybe Bradley would—just look at what Messi did to the US with this immaculate free kick. You could almost argue Messi's playing another sport, of which you are a fan.
