Two Western Michigan University Football Players Allegedly Held Up Student with a Gun and Knife

Currently, the team website does not have a listing of either player on their roster.

Last night, two freshman Western Michigan University football players were arrested after allegedly holding up a female student with a semi-automatic and knife, according to WWMT.

Police found wide receiver Bryson White and linebacker Ron George in a car on campus with stolen money and weapons after being informed of an incident at an apartment complex near campus. Both White and George are currently being held in custody at the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office.

"Having heard this news early this morning, I took action to immediately suspend both freshman players indefinitely," WMU head coach PJ Fleck said in a statement released to WWMT. "I'm extremely disappointed and want to assure the community that this kind of conduct is unacceptable and does not represent the values of this team or this university. The students will be held accountable to all University student- code, Athletic-student athlete and Football Code of conduct standards. Violations of these standards can lead to dismissal from the team and University."
