Thunderstorms Force Electric Zoo to Cancel Day 3

After two smooth days with perfect climes, mother nature hits NYC hard, pressing stop well before Kaskade, Alesso or Jack U take the stage.

As of 4:40pm, Electric Zoo 2014 is officially over as flash flood warnings and subwoofer-worthy thunderstorms descend on New York City.

Day 3 started with hotter temps than the two before it, but they didn't deter true ravers, there to see Henry Fong, UZ, DJ Theresa, The Chainsmokers and What So Not amongst others. But before the day's biggest headliners including Kaskade, Alesso, and Diplo and Skrillex's Jack U, could take the stage, the skies opened worst than predicted.

Rather than herd fans into covered areas to wait out the storm as EDC NY did a few months ago, the decision was made by organizers to cancel the rest of the fest, likely due to the prevalence of lightning and lack of covered areas on Randall's Island. Announcements were made on-site, even if the Electric Zoo socials were slow to respond.

This is the first weather-related cancellation in Electric Zoo's six years.
