Listen to a Preview of Solomun's 'Global Underground' Mix

Founded in 1996, Global Underground has long been an influential platform to showcase some of the most accomplished DJs of our time, presenting early compilations from current icons like Sasha and John Digweed. Each edition of their famed series has linked DJs to a certain city in the world, striving to capture the vibe of the location, including everywhere from Nick Warren in Reykjavik to Carl Cox's 2010 entry from Burning Man's Black Rock Desert.

This time around for the 40th entry of the series we get taken on a euphoric journey by the German Diynamic label boss, Solomun, who takes us on a trip to his native land of Hamburg, Germany. The album launch party conincided with the closing of Mladen's hometown haunt Ego, helping to close an important chapter in the life and career of the internationally celebrated DJ and producer. While the two-disck mix CD will be available to the World on September 1st, the man himself was nice enough to send us over a short mini-mix that features some of the comp's most sensual valleys and rocking peaks.
