Mystery Team Also Named The Browns Emerges as Frontrunner for Myles Garrett

How can there be two teams named the Cleveland Browns??

A mystery team, somehow also called the Cleveland Browns, has announced that they will select Myles Garrett, the consensus top pick, with the No. 1 pick of this year's NFL draft. This is confusing for a number of reasons. For one, the actual Cleveland Browns have the top pick in the draft. For another, the actual Cleveland Browns almost never do the right thing. And finally, how is there another NFL team called the Cleveland Browns? Doesn't make sense.

For years, Cleveland has been so starved for serviceable quarterback play that they have actually been jealous of the New York Jets quarterback situation. As recently as yesterday, Adam Schefter reported that "very smart, very well-connected people" were saying the Browns would make UNC quarterback Mitchell Trubisky "the No. 1 pick." For NFL observers and Cleveland residents, this Schefter reporting made total sense. According to those in the know, this draft boasts a pretty weak field of quarterbacks while simultaneously boasting a no-doubt-about it top pick on the defensive side. Obviously the Browns would go QB.

And now, hours before the draft, here comes this mysterious other Cleveland Browns squad that not only seems to know what it's doing, but is executing its plan calmly and confidently. It's a head-scratcher for the ages that likely has the NFL buzzing in Philadelphia. Will the Cleveland Browns select Mitch Trubisky No. 1? Or will the Cleveland Browns come out of literally nowhere to take Garrett? It's anyone's guess in the crazy NFL draft.
