On Friday, thousands of Barcelonians stood side-by-side with tourists from around the world to remember the 14 people killed in Thursday's terrorist attack.
Flowers were laid and candles lit around the legendary Canaletas Fountain on Las Ramblas. Tributes in the shape of postcards and stuffed animals were left along the boulevard. The gathering fell silent at noon when a minute of silence for the victims was held at the Plaça de Catalunya at the heart of the city.
