Watch Riverboat Gamblers Get Brutally Murdered by a Bunch of Burlesque Dancers

Murder is very sexy.

Punk Rock Bowling hit Vegas last month and most of the bands playing it catered to the having-a-huge-mohawk-and-studded-denim-vest-despite-it-being-300-degrees crowd and gave performances that were obviously-phoning-it-in-because-playing-the-same-songs-for-over-20-years-has-got-to-be-boring. Then there were Riverboat Gamblers, who played one of the festival’s after shows. They got on stage in their regular ol’ button up shirts from Banana Republic or whereever and completely ran amok of the place—jumping off speakers and running wild through the crowd, completely showing up the old spiky veterans. Wait—it’s almost as though—hang on, this is crazy—the way you dress is irrelevant in your ability to rock a stage? Nah, that can’t be right. Mohawks and tattoos totally give you special rock powers.

Anyway, the Gamblers have a new video for "Gallows Bird," one of the slow bangers from their most recent album The Wolf You Feed, and while it may not spotlight their trademark wild stage antics, it does feature the next best thing: T&A. But like, really classy T&A in the form of burlesque dancers covered in blood, wearing Superman skivvies (Rivers Cuomo would be proud!). Lots of sexy murder imagery.

Riverboat Gamblers have a select few dates coming up. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in/near Texas (even though they don't incorporate many burlesque dancers into their live show):

June 14, Dallas, TX, Club Dada for 2014 Elm St. Music & Tattoo Festival with Black Flag, Reverend Horton Heat, Lucero, MXPX, The Vandals, Teenage Bottlerocket

June 26, Austin, TX Hole in the Wall 45th anniversary festival
