Watch Pusha T Perform the Impassioned "Let Me Out" with Gorillaz on 'Colbert'

A very baller Mavis Staples projection also appeared.

Gorillaz' much-anticipated mammoth of a fourth album, Humanz, is now out in the world like Damon Albarn's screaming, extremely-celebrity-featuring baby. To celebrate, the band took to Stephen Colbert's Late Show stage last night to perform previously released track "Let Me Out"—but not without some special guests.

The song features Pusha T, who appeared alongside Gorillaz, and Mavis Staples, who sent an incredibly atmospheric set of projections of her singing on the track in her place (imagine if you could just send a projection of yourself everywhere really). The result of the live collab is a visually arresting and sonically jarring one, very much in the spirit of Humanz itself.

Watch above and try very hard not to laugh at serious musician Damon Albarn's keytar.
