The Five Most Underrated Moments in Pharrell's New Music Video "Gust of Wind"

Everyone will be talking about those giant Daft Punk heads, but lets give it up for the more subtle moments. Like Pharrell's butt dance.

Today, the most talented hat stand in the world (Pharrell Williams) teamed up with Tron cover band Daft Punk on a music video for "Gust of Wind." The funky, upbeat track is off Pharrell's latest album, Girl, and the video was directed by Edgar Wright of Shaun of the Dead fame. While this probably won't be the next "Happy," the video is still a feast for the eyes—the main course being two Stonehenge-worthy boulders standing in for Daft Punk, with generous sides of aerial contortionists twirling in the air like Cirque du Soleil extras.

But while everyone will be talking about those giant Daft Punk heads, we'd like to give it up for the less ostentatious (but equally great) moments in this video:

Pharrell's high-fashion safety pins

Totally Betsey Johnson meets APC.

These dancers' toilet paper arms

These sleeves remind me of the long spools of TP that I cover the toilet seat with at a bar, when I'm still sober enough to know that I shouldn't sit without first protecting myself from STDs and ebola. But with fewer piss stains!

This white girl getting all Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Ang Lee would be so proud.

That butt tho

Around the 3:22 mark, Pharrell spins around and shakes his butt a little—ostensibly to show off that ridiculous pair of Adidas jeans. Nobody puts this fuccboi in a corner.

Everything about this scene

We're not sure why Pharrell decided to straddle two rocks, or why those disembodied hands keep popping out of nowhere clap in everyone's faces, but this scene is so flush with fall foliage and unabashed earnestness, it has happiness written all over it. And "Gap commercial."
