Human Lioness Beyoncé May Voice Animated Lioness in 'The Lion King' Remake

How will it rank compared to her legendary role in 'Goldmember?'

As Disney continues their quest to toss beloved films like The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast into the uncanny valley of CGI animation, Jon Favreau's upcoming remake of the The Lion King is after a veritable casting coup. According to Variety, Beyoncé is Favreau's number one choice to voice Simba's childhood flame Nala in the film, with the studio ready to do "anything" to accommodate her busy schedule of presumably making sure the heavens and the oceans are in alignment.

Beyoncé's previous film roles have spanned from the iconic, (well, not entirely) like Goldmember's Foxxy Cleopatra to the also iconic Sharon Charles in Obsessed. Also, Sasha Fierce probably counts. Her last role was as a forest queen in 2013's Epic (*crickets*), so she's probably prepped to delve into the animation world once again.

If she does agree to the part, she'd be playing opposite Donald Glover's already-announced role as Simba, which means only one thing: can you imagine how fire this new version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" could be? Will Simba rap "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" as Childish Gambino? Would that be kind of lame? We shall have to see. Beyoncé could probably do the entire soundtrack herself if necessary. Here is some advice from friendly fictional murderer Scar on what to do if Beyoncé gets this role.
